Others were also changed and in their growing beast forms attack the surface; Arthur aka Aquaman is surprised he can’t control these sea creatures.
Superman fights, but also explores what’s going on down below and…
…decides his freeze breath is the answer…
…which appears to work against the sea creatures.
Steve Trevor, on behalf of the government, comes to claim the artifact which is in U.S. waters.
Aquaman notes that any act to take it from the Atlanteans will be treated as an act of war.
There’s also a Midnighter back-up story that ends on the Shilo Norman Mister Miracle.
The Pulse:
A pretty disjointed and confusing main story, but with excellent art. An intriguing back-up story, and characters, with ok art. A mixed bag of an issue. 5.5 out of 10.
