ECW Wrestler Identified in GA Steroid Story

ECW Superstar Mike Knox (real name Mike Hettinga) has been indentified by authorities as a WWE wrestler who lived in the Locust Grove, GA, house in which performance enhancing drugs were found by its current owner. According to a story on the local WSB-TV, homeowner Judson Powell’s adult daughter found two shoeboxes in the attic, one containing “different bottles and vials of liquid” (several marked as steroids and another with a plain, black label) along with “dozens of syringes.” The article continues that the “second shoe box had contracts and pay stubs from World Wrestling Entertainment for [Knox]…”

WWE issued a statement saying that “…four professional wrestlers resided at the Locust Grove address, only one of whom is currently an active performer under a WWE contract. This performer has denied to WWE officials, as well as to Henry County Police Department officials, that the items discovered in this home belong to him.”
