Despite rumours to the contrary, there WILL be a new villain on The Vampire Diaries this season.
Earlier, it was reported that the new season of The Vampire Diaries would primarily feature a variety of evil characters. Now, Julie Plec says that there might be one big bad.
In an interview with EW, the show’s EP said that “…there is a villain-esque person in this season that I’m particularly excited about because it does break the mold a little bit of our villains, which seem to be often very redeemable in their own way.”
Apparently, this villain will be more dangerous than ever.
“And we get to explore the deep, dark minds of a psychopathic personality, so I’m very excited about that,” Plec said.
