As Luke, Jessica, and Danny go to move into Avengers Mansion, they’re met by a gun totting Victoria Hand who has a letter for Luke. The letter, from Steve Rogers, explains that her presence is not to get in his way, but just to keep track of things. That he feels she deserves a second chance, and that he feels Luke of all people would appreciate it. There is initial hostility, Hand storms off.
Luke approaches her later with Wolverine in tow, she explains why she did what she did, what she would have done had Osborn stayed in power, and why she is important now. Wolverine confirms she’s telling the truth, and Luke welcomes her to the team.
