NFL News: Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions Lose Remaining OTAs

News

Losing your OTAs is becoming popular this offseason.

Both teams lost the OTAs for violations of the intensity and tempo of drills rules.

Neither team announced which player brought the complaints against the teams. Lions union rep Jon Jansen said he didn’t file the complaint and doesn’t think a player would have filed a complaint without telling him.

The NFL’s collective bargaining agreement sets rules for OTAs, which are noncontact drills without pads. Teams practice in shorts, shirts and helmets.

Baltimore and Oakland lost their remaining OTAs last week.
