IGN is reporting that DC Nation’s Beware The Batman has been pulled from the Cartoon Network line-up. Cartoon Network is reported as saying that:
- “Currently, Beware the Batman is no longer on our air. DC Nation will continue on Saturday mornings at 10/9c with new exclusive shorts and a full hour of encore episodes of Teen Titans Go!”
Comicbook.com further reports that Beware the Batman will be back with new episodes in January 2014. The site ascribes comments to the show’s lead voice acting star for Batman / Bruce Wayne, Anthony Ruivivar, as follows:
- Asked by a fan on Twitter what the status of the next new episode was, Ruivivar simply apologized and said January, offering no details…
No official statement has been released by DC Entertainment on this clarifying whether Beware The Batman is cancelled or delayed.
Many DC Nation fans are reminded by the abrupt halting of new cartoon episodes last year of Young Justice Invasion and Green Lantern The Animated Series. While eventually returning with new episodes, the series did not return – no Season 2 for GLTAS or Young Justice Invasion Season 3.
