Zan and Jayna Make Their Justice League Debut, As Does Super Friends’ El Dorado?! Plus, They Easily Defeat A Villain Superman Has Had Trouble With?!
Zan and Jayna, the Wonder Twins, are off to their after school job with the Justice League.
Superman explains the powers of the Wonder Twins – Jan can turn into animals and Zan can turn into water – Zan’s powers in particular underwhelms Wonder Woman.
Superman knows the twins’ dad and as a favor brought the kids to Earth and enrolled them school and set them up generally.
As they walk around the Hall of Justice readers see El Dorado.
He was one of three other attempts at diversity in the 1970’s Super Friends cartoon on the Justice League. With El Dorado there was also Apache Chief, Black Vulcan and Samurai.
Wonder Twins, and their space monkey Gleek, were also on the Super Friends back in the day.
Back to 2019, the Wonder Twins powers are on display as is their cheesy catchphrase…
…Zan changes to water and Jayna turns to a bird.
The book ends with the twins easily subduing Mister Mxyzptlk.
