Marvel Comics Universe and Uncanny X-Men #22 Spoilers and Review follows.

Who Dies? Does Finale Bleed Into…

…Dawn Of X, House Of X and Powers Of X Reboot?

The book opens with Emma Frost, the Black King of the Hellfire Club, explaining that she’s wiped the memories of mutants from the minds of humanity.

Wolverine enters the fray, a skirmish occurs, but things end civilly.

Warlocked Sentinels attack the X-Men’s Mansion home and school…

…leading to Havok, Cyclops bother, sacrificing himself to save his brother and what else he can.

These new Sentinels keep coming and Warlock tries to hack them, but…

…he dies too! The X-Men attack and are aided by…

…Cyclops…

…Madrox…

…plus Storm and Jean Grey’s X-Men Red!

The threat is defeated and Scott Summer and Jean Grey reunite to the chagrin of Logan and Emma Frost.

We also see that Cyclops is now quite literally a cyclops; a little too on the nose, maybe?

The book ends with Cyclops not wanting to be forgotten nor feared, but that’s up to them to fix.

The team agrees, including Magneto, and Emma Frost reverses things and the X-Men are feared once more…

…but they’re used to that.

The Pulse:

A decent end to a filler series that was biding time for the Dawn of X, House of X and Powers of X reboot to begin. The art was decent except from what felt like a few rushed pages by another artist(s) at the end. To many deaths and maiming of mutants in this series, but an emotional final issue. 6 out of 10.
