DC Comics and Green Lantern #2 Spoilers follows.

Why There Are 7 Earth Born Green Lanterns FINALLY Explained!

Before we begin, I believe the Earth born GLs are the following beginning with Hal Jordan.

Guy Gardner.

John Stewart.

Kyle Rayner.

Simon Baz.

Jessica Cruz.

Jo Mullein.

Keli Quintela is not technically a Green Lantern, but a Teen Lantern that seems to be stuck, literally, with rogue Guardian Krona’s gauntlet.

So, in addition to massive Green Lantern Corps status quo changes in Green Lantern #2 (full spoilers here) we learn more about the seven (7) crux worlds…

…at the heart of the multiverse or omniverse; it was a deliberate plan by the Guardians of the Galaxy to have 7 GLs from Earth.

Two of those worlds have been destroyed (Krypton in Action Comics #1 [1933] and Xanshi in Cosmic Odyssey [1988]) leaving five (5) worlds with Earth at the “crux of heroes”.

Five of the Earth born Green Lanterns, minus Guy Gardner and John Stewart, will protect a Crux world; leaving John Stewart to…

…lead a quest exploring the Dark Sectors with…

…1000 redeployed  (read GL #2 to find out why) Green Lanterns.

So, the new mission of Quest and Crux we understand and Outrider (which Guy Gardner is for now) seemingly as a military escort or protect of former Green Lantern sector worlds now part of the United Planets.

Green Lantern #3 arrives on shelves on June 2 / 3, 2021.
