Star Trek: Coda Trilogy Set To End Or Align Star Trek Literary Universe With Star Trek: Picard Continuity!

The Star Trek literary universe for over 27 years have been telling the post TV finale adventures, and later post film adventures, of the characters that inhabited the Star Trek: The Next Generation era including Deep Space Nine and Voyager.

With the debut of Star Trek: Picard in 2020 and the continuing TV / streaming continuity of that series the literary universe was misaligned hence this Coda event to either end the old continuity or align it with the new continuity. Stay tuned.

The Star Trek literary universe had a trilogy 13 years ago called Star Trek: Destiny, which has been collected in one volume, that also aligned the various TNG era novels and was a commercial and critical success.

It also included new series like Star Trek: Titan featuring Captain Riker, but did not include fan-fave Star Trek: New Frontier with Captain Calhoun and Commander Shelby written by one author Peter David since its inception in 1997 and its ignominious end in 2011.

I may read the Star Trek: Destiny trilogy again before I read Star Trek: Coda.

Star Trek: Picard Season 2 will launch in February 2022; Season 3 has also been greenlit with a release date not yet announced.
