One of the mid-season shows that I have been waiting for, is CTV and ABC’s Family Tools which premieres tonight. The show focuses on Jack Shea (Kyle Bornheimer) who is forced to put his own dreams on hold in order to take over the family’s handyman business from his father.
With a slacker reputation already following him (Jack has tried everything from enrolling in the police academy to attempting to becoming ordained), the beleaguered son hopes to finally win over the respect of his father.
The comedy is one of the most underrated of the new season and significantly better than some of the Fall comical failures that preceded it.
At CTV’s upfront presentation last year, I had the chance to catch up with Kyle Bornheimer to discuss Family Tools and his new character.
Check it out!
The series premiere of Family Tools airs tonight on CTV Two and ABC at 8:30 p.m.
