Following last issue’s surprise villain taking on Stargirl and Martian Manhunter, the only two Justice League members to escape an unusual prison, comes further battles with the Secret Society; Prime Earth’s villain allies to Earth 3’s Crime Syndicate. The preview to the issue shows our heroes’ mad scramble in world plunged in figurative and literal darkness due to the Crime Syndicate.

Turns out that Amazo has been busy: killing Stagirl’s brother and bringing Martian Manhunter to death’s door in Justice League of America #12’s cliffhanger below. That’s an interesting turn of events for a character so heavily profiled in the launch of Justice League United featuring the Justice League of Canada shipping in April 2014 replacing this cancelled JLA series. Well, unless the Martian Manhunter profiled in those teasers is a disguised Miss Martian?
