Dismissed and disgraced by the Guardians, Abin Sur takes the small charge he has left and goes to defend Earth. With the last energy in his ring he attempts to make a last minute major save, and as his ring leaves him…he sees his sister Arin, and assumes himself to be dead. Quite the opposite winds up being the case, as Abin’s quest to save lives, even at the cost of his own, as made him worthy to be the avatar of life.
