DC Comics Universe and Deathstroke #50 Spoilers and Review follows.

A Bloody Deathstroke Rebirth Finale Leads To…

…A Confrontation With Batman!

So, we finally learn who the grizzled, older-looking, scarred Slade Wilson is; he’s the Dark Multiverse’s Deathstroke.

He essentially killed the New Teen Titans, but Damian Wayne Robin was the one who killed Dick Grayson Nightwing by shooting him in the head with a gun; at the end of the battle that universe’s Raven seems to send him to the core DC Comics Earth 0.

In modern day, instead of fighting, the Deathstrokes agree to break bread.

They compare notes; Slade Wilson is around 60, but looks like 35 due to his healing factor. In the Dark Multiverse, Slade Wilson has augmented his powers and damaged his healing factor; that’s why he looks old and is scarred.

Then Isherwoord breaks up the party at Earth 0 Deathstroke’s earlier beckoning; he needs him to help his son Jericho.

He basically siphons Apex Lex Luthor’s Dark Gift, saves Jericho, but…

…seemingly dies in the effort.

Elsewhere, Dark Multiverse Deathstroke is being probed…

…while Deathstroke’s daughter Ravager welcomes her brother Jericho back to sanity, but mourns Isherwood.

The Deathstrokes end up battling…

…and thinking they one-upped each other…

…before collapsing.

In the end, Slade Wilson says that Deathstroke is done; his time as the mercenary is over.

However, it doesn’t take much to…

…spur Slade Wilson back into action as Deathstroke!

So, from Deathstroke #1 in August 2016…

…to this finale…

…to Batman #86 in January 2020 and a new arc featuring Deathstroke.

The Pulse:

An interesting finale for this series, but the future looks appropriately grim for Slade Wilson in DC. Decent art. 7 out of 10.
