Last week, THQ and the UFC announced the January 2012 release of the fight series “UFC Undisputed 3.” Over the weekend, they also released footage from the game as well, which will feature a new “PRIDE Mode” that will allow fighting under PRIDE rules in the PRIDE ring. So, if like me, you crave the pageantry of the old PRIDE entrances, and the brutality of soccer kicks and stomps (which prevented jiu-jitsu stalemates), sound like this mode is right up your alley.
“We are excited to launch UFC Undisputed 3 in January 2012 and expect it to be the best version yet,” UFC president Dana White said. “We’ve added two new weight classes and several new features to the game that will bring UFC fans closer to the Octagon than ever before.”
This year’s game will be developed for both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
