Here we go.
- (1) BOTH Perpetua AND The Batman Who Laughs (and his Secret Six) win DC’s Year Of The Villain Hell Arisen; that means the super-heroes and Earth, possibly all of the metaverse, loses.
- (2) Gorgeous interior art show a new reality after the super-heroes loss, but we don’t know if its the present or the near future.
- (3) The series is an Anti-Crisis of Infinite Earth will tie Doomsday Clock and more into the DC metaverse / continuity.

However, what hasn’t been revealed is how May 2020’s FCBD 2020 offering, called Generation Zero: Gods Among Us and featuring Wally West the Flash as the new Doctor Manhattan and Metron amalgam and its Generation Zero storyline, tie into Dark Nights: Death Metal. Nor any reference to the new DC 5G timeline, although, that could make up the end of the Dark Nights: Metal series.
Having said that, we know that we will be getting five one-shots featuring the five generations of DC beginning in May 2020 with a Justice Society of America focused one called Generation One: Age of Mysteries, but the connection to Death Metal remains unclear.
