Marvel Comics & May 2021 Solicitations Spoilers: 9 For 13?! Avengers, Iron Man, Thor, Black Panther, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Etc. Series All MIA For Heroes Reborn 2021!

News, Top Story

Marvel Comics and May 2021 Solicitations Spoilers follows.

9 For 13? Avengers, Iron Man, Thor, Black Panther, Captain America,  Captain Marvel, Etc. Series All MIA For Heroes Reborn 2021!

That means the last solicitated issues for these books were as follows.

April 2021’s Avengers #44

Avengers #45

Thor #14

Iron Man #8

Captain America #29

Captain Marvel #28

Black Panther #25

While the above issues, as per their April 2021’s solicitations, signaled the end of existing storylines, their lead characters play large roles in Heroes Reborn that appears to be at least a two-month event in May 2021 and June 2021. However, five other ongoing Marvel series are also MIA in their May 2021 solicitations that may not be related to Heroes Reborn; their April 2021 offerings are below.

Savage Avengers #20

Venom #200

Excalibur #20

S.W.O.R.D. #5

X-Force #19

It’s possible these last four titles may be back in June 2021 while the other MIA titles could be back that month or a month after Heroes Reborn presumably ends in June 2021.

There is also one major book that hasn’t been solicited despite the character’s 30th anniversary; their last issue of their ongoing series recently hit stores.

Deadpool #10

In contrast to these  MIA titles, in terms of Heroes Reborn, there’s a few series in May 2021 to sink your teeth into and we still do not who the teased Big Bad behind it all is.

Heroes Reborn #1-4 (of 7)

Young Squadron (vs. Deadpool)

Hyperion and the Imperial Guard (mining X-Men lore)

Magneto and the Mutant Force (more mining of X-Men lore)

Siege Society (with Avengers, X-Men and Thunderbolts)

Peter Parker, The Amazing Shutterbug (mining Amazing Spider-Man lore)

That’s 12 MIA titles (Avengers was twice monthly) replaced by 9 titles (including 4 issues of weekly core Heroes Reborn series). Did I miss any MIA ongoing series for Marvel in May 2021?

An intriguing few months ahead.
